- Grant to support production costs of the film and to help the filmmakers complete key interviews on the East Coast and in Southern California. The History of the Universe as Told by Wonder Woman: The Untold Story of Fiction’s Most Powerful Female is a documentary film project by Kristy Guevara-Flanagan that looks at how American culture perceives and responds to powerful heroines of pop culture. Examining the history of fiction’s longest running super-heroine, the film raises questions about the possibilities and contradictions of women as popular action heroes. - Grant to support productions costs of the documentary Seeking Refuge. The first film to gain rare access to one of the country’s premiere rehabilitation centers for the survivors of foreign torture, Seeking Refuge follows three survivors and their care partners as they embark on an intimate journey of healing. Giving audiences the opportunity to reflect on the devastating repercussions of torture, the film demonstrates the power and resilience of the human spirit when people join forces to overcome the horrific legacy of human rights abuses.

- Grant to support outreach and visibility efforts prior to SPLIT’s completion and release. SPLIT is a film and multimedia toolkit designed to help children maneuver through the emotional, social and psychological challenges of divorce. The film’s goal is to show children that they are not alone and to encourage them to understand and talk openly about their feelings. Fiscal sponsor: Maiden Voyage.
